2024 Catholic Schools Week Schedule

Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week at St. Stephen School in Kingsville, MD, is an exciting celebration that brings together students, faculty, and the community to honor their faith and values. This special week, themed “Jesus is our Superhero at St. Stephen School,” is packed with meaningful activities and opportunities to make a positive impact.

One of the highlights is the school-wide service project where students assemble lunch bags for distribution to individuals in need through St. Vincent de Paul, a mission dedicated to helping those impacted by poverty. The goal is to create 700-800 lunch bags, emphasizing the spirit of selfless service.

Throughout the week, classrooms get creative by decorating their doors with the superhero theme, and students can purchase new Catholic items from the SSS Catholic Store.

The celebration kicks off with a day for students to wear SSS PE sweatpants and spirit wear, and it continues with students attending weekend Masses, participating in patriotic-themed attire, and enjoying sing-alongs and a Community Celebration Parade.

Each day of the week has a unique focus, celebrating community, faith, and vocations, with activities ranging from superhero-themed dress-up to special treats and educational sessions. The week culminates in a celebration of the school’s heroes – the teachers – with a concert, movie, and the announcement of Teacher of the Year.
