What Is ATP?
The mission of the ATP –Administrators, Teachers and Parents -- is to provide parents a platform to express their issues, concerns and ideas with school administration in matters that affect the well-being, educational success, and positive environment of all our students. The ATP committee represents all families to the school administration. The ATP committee asks parents to identify ways we can help improve our school. Send us your issues, concerns and ideas throughout the year and we will discuss them at our next monthly meeting with school administration. We do ask that parents continue to talk directly to teachers about specific student problems. After the ATP committee meets, we will report back to you with the outcome. We will do our best to help find and implement solutions. Resolutions will be posted in the monthly newsletters as long as no confidentiality issues exist. Of course, we will respect any parent's request to remain anonymous.
Periodically, the ATP surveys parents. Trends identified in these surveys are presented to the administration and, often times, the School Board. Survey results help to identify strengths at St. Stephen and highlight areas that make our school unique. Survey responses also help identify opportunities to improve the student experience at St. Stephen. The best way to affect change is to share your feedback and ideas.
Please check the school calendar for the date of our next ATP meeting. Meetings are usually held on Mondays in the Library and are open to everyone - please join us! For more information please contact any ATP member.
