Information regarding COVID-19 & Event Cancellations
Update March 31, 2020
Fr. Paul and I hope you are doing well. As you know the Governor has issued a stay at home directive effective last evening at 8:00. After a review of that order Archbishop Lori decided to close all Churches in the Archdiocese effective at the same time. In compliance with this decision St. Stephen will not be open for private prayer during the day as it has been the last few weeks. We WILL continue to livestream Mass and Stations as we have been. Please take time to gather with us virtually for these opportunities for us to stay connected as a parish family.
It seems like things are changing every day. Many people are worried and anxious during these unsettling times. Our Readings at Mass these last few days remind us that God is always with us and that His love conquers everything. Let’s prayer for one another as we continue to experience these challenging times. I ask you to also pray for our Church and Civic leaders as they are faced with making decisions that protect us all.
May God bless you and your loved ones with the knowledge that we are never alone and always are showered with God’s love.
The following communications from the Archdiocese of Baltimore will help keep our school community informed:
All Masses are canceled until further notice per the Archbishop.
Given the latest direction from the State Superintendent and Governor Hogan this morning, our Archdiocesan Catholic Schools will conform to the State’s guidance to continue the closure of our schools through Friday, April 24th.
A letter from the superintendent can be read here.
