Substance Abuse Awareness Program

Presented by the St. Stephen School ATP Committee in partnership
with the Baltimore County Police Department Community Partnership Team.
Drug and alcohol abuse has serious consequences in our homes, schools and communities.
Learning the warning signs, being proactive, and educating students and parents are the first steps in prevention. Officer Carey Kus will present an honest adult presentation on identifying warning signs, substance abuse trends, and talking to children about drugs and alcohol abuse.
Friends and family members are welcome to attend.
Officer Carey Kus is with the Baltimore County Police Department Community Partnership
Team. Officer Kus has been with the BCPD for 21 years. Some of her assignments have
included patrol, School Resource Officer for a public high school for 10 years, and the
Community Partnership Team.

students in the middle school on Thursday, April 26 for a student appropriate conversation about this topic.
